Boss town

Feels weird being on the least coast…guess I missed the memo on always wearing collared shirts.  It’s like a beach party but everyone just brought bean dip and marinara.  Oh and boat shoes.

The risk of fisk

Just had some legit fish stew that came in a jar with some canned bread on the side…Iceland is surprisingly cheap thanks to the recent collapse of their economy.  Prolly renting a coche tomorrow so we can get out of the future and see some waterfalls and geysers and such.

I decided that it would be a shame to come to Iceland and not see the actual scenery of the place…so neima and I rented a car.  We ended up getting a vw polo which was pretty legit and we got to bump sweet icelandic tunes all day.  Because it was a Wednesday we decided to drive south and look at water falling off of cliffs…

After an hour or so of driving we spotted the elusive airborne water, it was most excellent.  I think it was called seijalfoss or something along those lines.  Foss is icelandic for falls or waterfalls but it has a double meaning as guacamole which lead to a delicious mix up.

We ended up going to skogafoss which was another hour or so and full of Canadians wearing Canadian flag jumpsuits…pretty sweet but dumb that they wouldn’t trade shirts with me…someone put a ladder over a barbed wire fence and the trail on the other side is where the real fun began…

Hiking Viking

We decided to do a long hike here since I really couldn’t picture any other place that would be better for hiking.  The trail winded up along the river coming out of the glacier on eyjafjalljokull, the icelandic volcano that recently shot ash everywhere.  The trail was hard to stop hiking because every ten minutes or so would be another huge waterfall.
